3. Methodology and Limitations of Data Collection

Abstract

This ePaper combines a desk-based review of existing literature and field-based, semi-structured interviews with 65 FHHs across 10 villages and towns in the Northern Province. It also includes interviews with several women’s rights activists, NGO workers and academics working in Sri Lanka. The fieldwork also attempted to solicit comments from participants focusing on identifying how state-led interventions shaped FHHs’ daily lives and mindsets.
