Abstract
The Anglican Church has released a report into past cases of child sex abuse within the church in Australia. University of Sydney researchers examined 191 incidents involving 17 dioceses across the country between 1990 and 2008.The study shows boys aged between 10 and 15 were the most likely victims, while the average time it took for abuse to be reported to authorities was 23 years. The study was prepared by child sexual abuse experts, Emeritus Professor Kim Oates of the Medical Faculty of the University of Sydney and Professor Patrick Parkinson of the University of Sydney Faculty of Law.
