  • Strengthening Family Systems

    Uribe Torres, Maria Lucia (2015)
This paper describes the role of the family in the identity formation and development of the child, particularly in the development of children who positively embrace who they are, their differences with others, and who are empowered to participate and contribute to the positive transformation of their communities. The author first describes the changing identity of the family today and the impact on the development of children; then she analyzes the importance of strengthening positive child-‐‑rearing skills in parents and extended family, particularly during early childhood, in light of the changing landscape of the family; and last she reflects on critical questions on the role of the family in nurturing values that help children develop as global citizens in a changing society.
  • Potentials and Pitfalls in Interreligious Dialogue

    Ucko, Hans (2015)
“No religion is an island” is a paraphrase on John Donne’s powerful words: “No man is an island”. I have many times heard this paraphrase by the Jewish scholar A.J. Heschel and I have often used it myself. It is strange that we have to say it. Of course no religion is an island. Islam cannot do away with its links to Christianity and Judaism. There is a bridge between Judaism and Christianity. Buddhism is related to Hinduism and there is an intrinsic link between Jainism and Hinduism. Sikhism is not possible to understand without its context in India.

  • Educación Ética

    Hadsell, Heidi (2014-12-04)
  • Revitalizing Family Life: A Muslim Perspective

    Omar, Abdul Rashied Ali (2014-12-04)

  • Ethics and Interfaith Learning and Dialogue

    Hadsell, Heidi (2014-12-04)
"Ethics education promotes interfaith learning and dialogue in many direct and indirect ways. Perhaps most importantly, because the content of ethics has so much to do with individual or group understanding of responsibilities to and relationships with other people, ethics education encourages our children and youth to think about these relationships at a time in their lives when they are open to and curious about other people, and eager to work out how to relate to them."

  • Apprendre à vivre ensemble

    Fondation Arigatou (Fondation Arigatou, 2008)
