IT use on English learning courses at the Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes

Abstract

This article shows some results of a work that had as main objective to identify if it exists any relation between the type of technological resources used by the students of the Programa de Fomento a las Lenguas Extranjeras (PFLE) of the Universidad Autonoma de Aguascalientes and the opinion about these resources as a support for English Language Learning. The work performed was an inquiry, which used an online questionnaire as data collection tool that was applied to undergraduate students enrolled in the English courses of the PFLE within the period August-December 2010. The results presented in this document are those that respond to three of the research questions that guided the work and are shown later.

Este artículo muestra parte de los resultados de una investigación cuyo objetivo primordial es identificar si existe alguna relación entre el tipo de recursos tecnológicos utilizados por los alumnos del Programa de Fomento a las Lenguas Extranjeras (PFLE) de la Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes (UAA) y la opinión sobre estos recursos como apoyo al aprendizaje del idioma inglés. El trabajo que se realizó fue un estudio tipo encuesta; se elaboró un cuestionario en línea como herramienta de recolección de datos, que se aplicó a los estudiantes de nivel licenciatura inscritos en los cursos de inglés impartidos como parte del PFLE durante agosto-diciembre de 2010. Los resultados que se presentan dan respuesta a tres de las preguntas de investigación que guiaron el trabajo.
