Abstract
The overall theme of this project is Carolingian missionary activity during the first half of the eighth century, focusing specifically on the work of Saint Boniface of Crediton. My objectives were to establish that Saint Boniface borrowed conversion methodology from Pope Gregory I, define Teutonic and Celtic paganism, and illustrate how the rise of the Carolingian family aided Christian missionary efforts.Date
