Abstract
This paper applies the concept of family resemblances to clarify the multiplicity of uses of the word ‘good,’ both absolute and relative ones. Making a distinction between different moral language-games (normative, evaluative etc), this work holds that there is a focal meaning of ‘good’ which allows us to deny that Wittgenstein became a relativist. Thus, ‘good’ refers to what has intrinsic worth and qualifies an act as moral or immoral, that is, whether it must or not be performed.
