National Security Policy documents are policy papers produced by the Office of the National Security Council (ONSC), a governmental agency founded in 1959 to advise and give policy recommendations to the Prime minister and the cabinet. Modelled on its American namesake, the ONSC was focused, until 1973, on the ways to counter the communist insurgency.
