Abstract
The review discusses the monograph of Dalius Jonkus “Patirtis ir Refleksija: Fenomenologinės Filosofijos Akiračiai”. The review states that the author of the book seeks to actualise Edmund Husserl’s phenomenology. Actualisation here is treated as an attempt to follow up the phenomenology of Husserl, to solve new problems by methods offered by Husserl. Therefore, the discussed monograph becomes a part of Husserl’s phenomenology development. The relation between the author himself and Husserl is essentially experience-based, and not based on text. Husserl is analysed as the one, who talks about our experience, and the analysis of experience and contemplation needs continuation. Readers will meet the actualised Husserl, and thus will be able to re-actualise and extend Husserl’s insights together with Jonkus. Jonkus’s intension is very close to that of Algis Mickūnas. Most effective parts of the monograph are those, which analyse classical subjects of Husserl. Subjects of time and intentionality are best investigated. The most problematic issue is the overtake of Husserl’s intentions on issues of ethics and political attitude. As the structure of contents show, one of the most important issues of the monograph is the ratio with the transcendence. The ratio is analysed in two aspects – as the limit of intentionality and as matter of intersubjectivity. Another advantageous part of the monograph – phenomenology of the culture and the world. The monograph may be read as the analysis, actualisation of Husserl’s subjects, and development of Husserl’s phenomenology. The book provides a systematic approach to and actualises Husserl’s phenomenology.
