[Abstract] Also Law-scholars (and, above all, scholars devoted to legal systems of classical antiquity and to the rebuilding of a new European legal system) shall be interested in the work-notes Hannah Arendt was collecting among 1950 and 1973. The notes were published in 2002 in German, i.e. the language in which, in the most part, they had been originally written, and translated in Italian in 2007. The essay, that confirms such an interest, presents several remarks by the eminent thinker involving, the most direct way, themes related to juridical topics and besides personal observations of the author. By reading it, indeed, one shall have knowledge of Arendt’s ideas about humanitas and past’s significance and core, about ‘tradition religion and authority’ (i.e., in her opinion, the three Western World pillars which have been torn down by now), about power, law, justice, murder, nullum crimen sine lege principle and, eventually, about university, the very place in which scholars of legal science continue to be educated.Date
