QI e ludibrio: o que faz com que o valor dos humanos seja um valor?

Abstract

O presente trabalho propõe-se estudar os aspetos éticos (o que faz com que o valor dos humanos seja um valor?) suscitados pela relação entre o QI e a deficiência mental, por um lado, e a funcionalidade e o risco de ser vítima de ludíbrio, por outro. Para o efeito, o estudo foi feito com uma amostra de 30 cidadãos com Deficiência Mental, 63,3% do sexo masculino. O grau de independência não varia com o QI dos participantes desta amostra. Não foram confirmadas as hipóteses, nomeadamente a da relação entre o QI e ser vítima de ludíbrio. Contudo, 30% dos participantes foram vítimas de ludíbrio, com rápida intervenção da instituição. Apesar de não se ter encontrado a relação admitida como hipótese, a questão da fragilidade em relação ao risco de ludíbrio e todos os participantes terem medidas de proteção legal, este estudo suscita questões relacionadas com o valor dos humanos e a questão ética do ser “pessoa”, mesmo os que possuem deficiência mental.

This paper proposes to study the ethical aspects (what makes the human value is a value?) raised by the relationship between IQ and mental disabilities on the one hand, and the functionality and the risk of falling victim to financial deception on the other. To this goal, the study was done with a sample of 30 people with mental disabilities, 63.3 % were male. The degree of independence does not vary with the IQ of the participants in this sample. Our hypothesis, including the relationship between IQ and being a victim of derision not been confirmed. However, 30 % of respondents have been victims of deception, with rapid intervention of the institution. Despite not having found the relationship admitted as a hypothesis, the question of weakness in relation to the risk of deceit and all participants have measures of legal protection, this study raises questions related to the value of human and the ethic problem of the “person” concept, even those with mental disabilities
