It will focus upon the methodological and philosophical underpinnings of sociological inquiry. The book will specifically focus on debates pertaining to induction and deduction debate, the problems associated with ‘objectivity’, the quest to understand how we – as social scientists – can understand the social world and discussions of morality and ethics.
