Abstract
The peculiar treatment of time by Espronceda in The Student of Salamanca entails the conjunction of traditional elements and elements that belong to modernity, which in turn leads to the subversion of the formal and ethical values of this work, in connection with the heterodox aesthetic trend that is characteristic of Romanticism.
   El peculiar tratamiento del tiempo empleado por Espronceda en El estudiante de Salamanca supone la conjunción tanto de elementos tradicionales como de elementos propios de la modernidad, lo que conduce a la subversión de los valores formales y éticos de la obra, en el marco de la corriente estética heterodoxa característica del Romanticismo.
