AbstractThis paper reports on findings from the ADM‐OER project undertaken by a consortium comprising two specialist art, design and media institutions: University of the Arts London, University for the Creative Arts and one university faculty: the Faculty for the Arts, Cumbria University, and led by ADM‐HEA Subject Centre. In a rapidly accelerating online ecology higher education is required to keep in step with changing technologies, platforms and networks. The growth of web technologies has offered both challenges and opportunities for institutions and academics. The ADM‐OER Project has sought to address this changing environment by assessing the higher education culture in which such transformations are taking place by engaging directly with teaching staff and undertaking the processes required to provide openly accessible and usable teaching resources.
