Abstract
All printed materials face major financial challenges today, with theological journals particularly vulnerable. These challenges are magnified as denominations decline in membership and money, and sponsoring institutions struggle and even close. At the same time a “Luther Renaissance” has produced a wealth of new resources of serious theology, beloved by scholars but needing to be introduced and interpreted for ministry practitioners. Journals may need to adapt to the challenges, using online/digital publication and accelerated reviews of new material, in order to meet the challenges while serving their readers.Date
