Word & World: Theology for Christian Ministry

Abstract

Word & World is the journal of “Theology for Christian Ministry” published by the faculty of Luther Seminary, Saint Paul, Minnesota. Word & World first appeared in 1980. Though based in a Lutheran institution and reflecting Lutheran theology, the journal is diverse in readership, choice of authors, and board and staff. As word and world, it seeks an open conversation with the world in all its aspects. As theology for Christian ministry, it seeks to direct this conversation toward Christian pastors and students. The journal is topical, with issues devoted to aspects of “word,” including almost every book of the Bible, and “world” with issues such “Land” and “Water.”
