The role of education, lifelong learning and health of the population in support of economic growth

AbstractThe accurate evaluation of the level of education and health status of the population of a country and estimated trends of these indicators in the medium and long term, are key elements in designing a sustainable model of development. In this research we aim to develop an analytical model, based on a system of macroeconomic indicators to assess the impact of education, lifelong learning and health of population on economic growth, with a focus on Romanian reality. Based on research conducted we conclude that successive increased investment in education, lifelong learning and health causes positive externalities, adding to the amounts of total production, improving the health of people and the safety of environment, with a decisive role on sustainable growth.
