Stworzenie transkomunikatora jako cel pedagogiki nauczania i uczenia się języka nierodzimego

Dysertacja prezentuje typ komunikatora, jaki należy wygenerować dla celów komunikacji międzyjęzykowej. Postuluje się, że proces nauczania i uczenia się języka nierodzimego powinien stworzyć tzw. transkomunikatora, który chroni swój język ojczysty nadając własnemu językowi i językowi nierodzimemu równy status. Proces ten powinien opierać się na wygenerowaniu pozytywnego stosunku do własnego języka i kultury, co można osiągnąć stosując w nauczaniu i uczeniu się języka nierodzimego teorię rozszerzenia kompetencji kulturowej (przedstawionej przez Puppla (2007)), w której kultura rodzima stanowi bazę, do której dodaje się elementy kultury języka nierodzimego.
 Powyższe problemy w niniejszej pracy ilustruje relacja pomiędzy językiem polskim (język o niższym statusie), a angielskim (język dominujący). Biorąc pod uwagę nierówny status obu języków postuluje się, że celem pedagogiki języka angielskiego w Polsce powinno być stworzenie transkomunikatora. Cel ten można osiągnąć poprzez podniesienie świadomości polskich nauczycieli i uczniów/studentów języka angielskiego dotyczącej statusu ich ojczystego języka. Podniesienie świadomości powinno być wynikiem procesu rozszerzenia kompetencji kulturowej podkreślającego równość kultur. Ponieważ elementy kulturowe zawarte są w stylu komunikacyjnym, rozszerzenie kompetencji kulturowej powinno stanowić część procesu rozwijającego styl wysławiania się. Innymi słowy, nauczanie i uczenie się języka angielskiego w Polsce powinno dążyć do podniesienia świadomości językowo-komunikacyjnej.

The dissertation presents the type of communicator that should be generated for the purposes of interlanguage communication. It is postulated that non-native language pedagogy should aim at forming a transcommunicator, i.e. a communicator who protects their mother tongue giving their native and non-native language an equal status. The above process should rest on generating a positive attitude to one‟s native language and culture, which may be achieved via applying, in non-native language teaching and learning, the theory of cultural competence widening (introduced by Puppel (2007)). In this proposal native culture constitutes the basis to which one adds the cultural elements of the non-native language.
 In this dissertation the above problems are illustrated by the relation between the English language and Polish, where English (as a lingua franca) is dominant and Polish possesses the status of a weaker language. Taking into consideration the above differences, it is postulated that English language pedagogy in Poland should aim at forming a transcommunicator. This goal can be achieved via raising the awareness of Polish teachers and students of the English language concerning the status of the Polish language in reference to English. The process of raising the awareness should result from cultural competence widening based on the equality of cultures. Since cultural elements are included in communicative style, cultural competence widening should constitute part of the process developing the style of beautiful speaking. In other words, English language pedagogy in Poland should aim at raising the linguistic-communicative awareness of teachers and students.
