Abstract
Ethno Eco Dialogue explores the relevance of audio-visual media as an educative tool to explore issues of environmental sustainability. This work is grounded ion the insights gained from personal experience of migration and diaspora. Drawing on collaborative projects in Australia, Germany and Latvia, this essay argues for the importance of film as a cross-cultural exchange. In support of this argument, the author examines the work of local and international filmmakers, examining how their work bypasses linguistic and textual limitations to move across ethnic, national and ecological barriers.
