AbstractThis issue of the Asia-Pacific Journal of Teacher Education presents a wide range of topics and approaches to research that emanate from researchers in Australia, the United States of America, Hong Kong, Sweden and India, researching in these countries and the Peoples’ Republic of China. These papers also examine a variety of research topics relevant to teacher education from professional development and different strategies for preparing future teachers to how we can understand what it is that teacher education students bring with them by way of prior learning. Included also in this collection are papers that address the levels of understanding of pre-service teachers, the inclusion of students with disabilities in India, and a paper that continues a discussion on robust hope that commenced in this Journal in 2007.
