Students can experience first hand through interactive assignments what is involved in teaching an online course. Most students develop a whole new appreciation for the student learning process. Faculty are beginning to realize that online instruction is more than a series of readings posted to a course management system. This paper summarizes the faculty member's instructional strategies involved when creating student interaction assignments. The paper also summarizes the assignments, discussion board, and trends in education from the student's perspective. In summary, it concludes with the faculty's overall perspective concerning these assignments and how the assignments could be more effective for the student.Date

Development of Human Resources Using New Technologies in Long-Life LearningMicu Bogdan Ghilic; Marilena Mircea; Codrin Nisioiu; Cătălin Silvestru; Marian STOICA (Stefan cel Mare University of Suceava, 2011-01-01)Information and communication technologies (ICT) offer new opportunities to reinvent the education and to make people and makes learning more fun and contemporary but poses many problems to educational institutions. Implementation of ICT determines major structural changes in the organizations and mental switch from bureaucratic mentality to customer-oriented one. In this paper I try to evaluate methods of developing the lifelong learning programs, impact to human resources training and development and the impact of this process on educational institutions. E-learning usage in training the human resources can make a new step in development of the education institutions, human resources and companies.

The Impact of Teaching Two Courses ( Electronic Curriculum Design and Multimedia ) on The Acquistion of Electronic Content Design SkillsNatheer K Gharaibeh; Mohareb A Alsmadi (Academy & Industry Research Collaboration Center (AIRCC), 2013-01-01)The use of Multimedia applications in Learning provides useful concepts for Instructional Content Design. This study aimed to investigate the effect of design electronic curriculum and multimedia applications onacquiring e-content design skills, and improving their attitudes towards e-learning. To achieve theobjective of the study, the researchers developed a test to measure the efficiencies of designing electroniccontent and the measure of attitudes towards e-learning, The results showed that study of both coursescontributed positively to the acquisition of design skills of e-content , The results revealed that there arestatistical significant differences between the scores of the students in the two applications (pre and post)on the total score of the attitude measure and three areas of it.

Investigating RFID Enabled Devices in Smart Electronic Learning EnvironmentsMohamed Soliman; Sghaier Guizani (kassel university press GmbH, 2010-01-01)For e-learning systems to be successful, proper understanding of the learner is crucial. This can be done with the use of learners’ profiles. However, there is a need for the availability of such information for mobile learning environments to make it available when the learner roams between different spaces. This paper investigates the application of RFID technologies for this use. We suggest using new advancements in RFID technologies with smart tags to identify and extract learners’ data/profile in the move. Furthermore, the learner will be carrying this data for better learning interoperability in smart spaces. New interesting educational scenarios are becoming available to provide context-awareness for the educational process. The tradeoffs between the availability of further information and privacy are discussed.
