AbstractThis on-line learning resource supports students' acquisition of basic academic writing skills. It is intended to be used both as a teaching tool and to be accessed by students out of contact time to reinforce learning. This resource covers areas such as: developing an argument, using evidence and structuring paragraphs. It also models how to present ideas using appropriate academic language (for example: use of formal English, cautious academic style, signposting and citation).
