Abstract
In the last five years or so, society has witnessed a proliferation of electronic devices—smartphones, iPads, tablets, netbooks, etc. This trend has brought more mobility to the learner in terms of what, where, when, and how to learn. In response, many schools and colleges have developed degree programs and courses to accommodate a wide variety of learner types. Although many universities offer opportunities for online instruction, they predominantly offer asynchronous opportunities. However, a great opportunity also exists for the synchronous, online learning environment.Date
