Abstract
The original request was for equipment to build accessible resources for the 3D Design Workshops which were being re-built as part of a Faculty Blended Learning strategy and rebuilding program. The developed into two streams;

 1. The development of online resources to support hands on training in methods and equipment in the 3D workshops.
 2. A loan facility for students to borrow to record their work, crit sessions, field trips and other learning events.

 Using a range of equipment (Edirol audio recorder, Camcorder, iPod, Digital Camera) in conjunction with the local appointment of an e-developer and support, students were provided with a more inclusive range of facilities and solutions. Students were able to access audio feedback, record teaching sessions, document 3D practical work or activities on video and produce a wider range of support materials. Audio to text transcription was also explored.
 The project describes how a change in circumstances offered an opportunity to provide access to the equipment through the student support office and had a far wider impact than originally projected by bringing together staff members from different areas of student support around disability, and given them a clear view of how students feel, and where they would like to see improvements or greater communication.
