This learning object is intended for use in teaching the poetry of Wilfred Owen. It provides background about the First World War, about which Owen wrote a number of poems. There is a short essay by Karl W. Murray providing an overview of the war. A section on propaganda includes images of several propaganda posters, accompanied by some tasks to set for students. Finally, a textual timeline of the war is also provided.Date
