The educ@TIon project of Telecom Italia to enhance cooperative and collaborative learning beyond time & space limits

Abstract

The objective of this paper is to share the experience of Telecom Italia for the design, development and trial of new educational services, to enhance cooperative and collaborative learning and overcome school and classroom limits of time and space.In particular, Telecom Italia has developed a prototypal solution, called educ@TIon, for innovative and participated teaching and learning, which has been tested in-the-field in some Italian schools.educ@TIon is a cloud computing based suite of services that can be accessed with any type of internet-connected device, in a byod approach.This paper will address three main topics: the description of the prototypal solution educ@TIon, the school trials and related relevant results, the future developments of Telecom Italia for schools, i.e. the research project eSchooling.During the Poster/Demo, participants will be involved in hands-on-sessions to try the different educ@TIon functionalities.
