Electronics learning or e-learning is an internet-based education delivery method which is widely used worldwide. In Malaysia, many universities have already implemented this learning mechanism for a few years and be able to experience the effectiveness and weaknesses so that corrective measures could be taken whenever necessary. Universiti Pertahanan Nasional Malaysia (UPNM) is a new public university in Malaysia and is in a stage to start implementing e-learning in end of 2010. This paper provides discussions on students’ perceptions and readiness towards the implementation. Questionnaires are distributed among students and descriptive analysis is conducted using SPSS11. Several factors such as computer literacy, internet usage, general understanding about e-learning, and what the students expect from this electronics education approach are analyzed and discussed. The statistical analysis computes several variables such as means, median, and standard deviation. Further discussions based on these variables are included in this paper.Date
