Polska w polityce zagranicznej niepodległej Białorusi w latach 1991-2004

Głównym celem pracy jest próba wypełnienia luki w istniejącej literaturze na temat relacji białorusko–polskich w okresie budowy wzajemnych kontaktów oraz zaprezentowanie w oparciu o dostępne materiały rzeczywistej roli, jaką odgrywała Polska w białoruskiej polityce zagranicznej w latach 1991–2004. W rozprawie został położony szczególny nacisk na przedstawienie wszystkich czynników warunkujących obecny stan stosunków dwustronnych, takich jak odmienność losów historycznych obydwu państw, przemiany zachodzące na scenie politycznej Białorusi i Polski po roku 1991, problem formowania białoruskich elit i kształtowania niezależnej polityki zagranicznej. W pracy szczegółowo zostały opisane wszystkie kontakty polityczne pomiędzy Białorusią a Polską, w tym wizyty polityczne, spory dyplomatyczne, różnice w opinii dotyczącej kluczowych zagadnień bezpieczeństwa, problem mniejszości polskiej i kościoła katolickiego na Białorusi, rosnąca rola Polski we wsparciu białoruskiej opozycji politycznej oraz zmiany w stosunkach białorusko-polskich w kontekście rozszerzenia Unii Europejskiej.

The main aim of dissertation is to try to fill the gap in the existing literature on the Belarusian-Polish relations during the construction period and to present mutual relations based on the available material of actual role played Poland in the Belarusian foreign policy in the years 1991-2004. In the dissertation was laid special emphasis on the presentation of all factors determining the current state of bilateral relations, such as the difference in the historical fate of the two countries, the changes taking place on the political scene in Belarus and Polish after 1991, the problem of forming and shaping the Belarusian elite independent foreign policy. The doctorate describes in detail all the political relations between Belarus and Polish, including political visits, diplomatic disputes, differences of opinion on key issues of security, the problem of the Polish minority and the Catholic Church in Belarus, Polish growing role in supporting the political opposition in Belarus, and changes in Belarusian-Polish relations in the context of EU enlargement.
