This document is a reflection, which highlights the importance of the virtual learning environments as strategy to support the current tendencies of the United Nations, related to the processes of global sustainability and inclusive education. It contains the reflection and description of a research carried out by two members of the ARKADIUS research group of Computer Science Engineering program of Universidad de Medellín; which general target consisted of designing an interactive learning system for the Democratic Republic of Congo - Africa. Methodologically it was an applicative-experimental research, which generated a prototype of software tailored to support the strategies stated by the theory of Blended Learning. The pedagogic model suggested, technological tools used, and the mobilization of an international and interdisciplinary research team, can be considered as a contribution to the processes of internationalization and social projection of education

Restauración y nuevo diseño. La casa de la cultura de medina del campo y la iglesia de San Juan Bautista de Guadalix de la Sierra (España)Fernández Muñoz, Angel Luis (Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas - Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, 1996-10-01)The ensemble formed by Saint Martin church and the Falces Palace in Medina del Campo was in a deplorable state, plundered and ruined, when a restoration action was decided. As for San Juan Bautista’s church in Guadalix de la Sierra, only the tower and the apse had an architectural interest, since the nave was a poor reconstruction from 1944. The proposal considered two kinds of interventions. In one hand, the traditional restoration of the few pieces preserved in their original state. In another hand, rebuilding it with a new design that should optimize it for public use and also create an homogeneous coordination of the architectural "fragments" which before had no link between them.

E- Learning: An effective pedagogical tool for learningRafael; Victor; Kaneez ,; Boumedyen (International Journal of Innovative Technology and Creative Engineering, 2011-04-01)In the info-tech age E-Methods of learning are becoming the most important vehicle in disseminating knowledge in higher education institutions. This sector is growing and changing at a rapid speed due to developments in technologies. But teaching is an art. Can there be fun learning with raw and dry technology? How can we make the best use of E- Methods, can we make the required information and data available to the students in a flexible manner, at ease all the time? What are the advantages of traditional methods of teaching and learning? Is E-learning a progressive stage incubating all the benefits of the Manual learning or it is only a window dressing on the face of advancement? Can we convert the boring, tedious subjects into interactive, monotony breaking joyous learning? In this paper the researchers have focused on the modernization of E- Pedagogy vis-à-vis the traditional method of learning. They have highlighted the effectiveness of using the E- learning elements and various E- Methods. This work has used the decision tree algorithms particularly Classifiers.trees.J48 The obtained results show that using online examination attribute plays major role in increasing the average grade of the class in higher education. The novelty of this work is that the researchers have focused on the teaching methodology used by the faculty members and the tools available in the universities. We believe that this work will play a constructive role in building higher education system. Our generated rules/output can be used by the decision makers in the improvement of higher education system processes.
