AbstractBuddha; Seated Buddha in bhadrasana (feet down) pose at the rear of a high plinth or "gallery" running from the front of the cave to the back on either side. Seated on lion thrones, with conventionally elaborate backs, they are attended by cauri-bearing bodhisattvas and flying dwarfs or couples above. Their incantatory solemnity is relieved by the playful dwarfs that decorate their platform.
