H. H. Kung updates W. Frederick Bohn, Assistant to the President at Oberlin College, about the Academy in Taigu. Unlike other letters to Bohn, which consist of Association and Academy details, Kung writes about the complexity of missionary education: ""The Chinese in general have a sense of worship connected with the ceremony which we Christians do not approve of, but we strive to use the day here at the school to point out a better way, while at the saem time doing honor to those who have gone before us and made great sacrifices [on] our behalf, but carrying the idea of worship to the Heavenly Father who loves and cares not only for the living but for those who have gone on before us.""Date
