Também estará em jogo mostrar a construção paulatina, nesses autores, da noção de sentimento ou senso moral, a qual visa compatibilizar o prazer individual e o interesse coletivo e revelar a destinação humana para a virtude. O privilégio da noção de experiência estética e da condição de espectador de quem julga moralmente são também temas a que se dedica o artigo, a fim de permitir que o leitor perceba como Shaftesbury e Hutcheson representam uma etapa importante quanto ao deslocamento da identidade entre o belo e o bom para o campo do juízo, ainda que em suas filosofias subsistam pressupostos metafísicos determinantes" ["In this paper we intend to present the link between morality and beauty in Shaftesbury and Hutcheson, in order to sustain in which extent the notion of disinterested pleasure becomes the center of this connection.
