Abstract
"La distinción de los estadios o etapas de desarrollo del nasciturus es función de las ciencias biológicas. Su importancia radica en que estas etapas biológicas diferenciadas permitirían una categorización normativa distinta en el nasciturus según el estado en que se halla, y por ende una protección legal dispar. En este trabajo nos ocuparemos de analizar las distintas posiciones doctrinales y científicas, sobre el momento en el que comienza la existencia de la persona. Como también una breve mención a varios conflictos éticos originados ante los nuevos desafíos biotecnológicos". ["One of the tasks of biological sciences is to draw the distinction between the phases or stages in the development of the nasciturus. Its importance lies in the fact that these distinctive biological stages would allow different normative categorization of the nasciturus according to each stage, and thus different legal protection. In this study we shall analize the various doctrinal and scientific approaches about the moment human life comes into existence, and we shall also mention several ethical questions arising from the latest biotechnological advances".]
