Abstract
This study discusses the youth as an important actor in developing holistic education in Indonesia as a pluralistic nation. The author argues that there are two important components in an effort to maintain harmony in Indonesia as multicultural society. First, the role of youth as the agents of change. Second, the implementation of a holistic educational model that gives more attention to the spiritual, intellectual, emotional, creative, aesthetic, and cultural. Holistic education emphasizes the true knowledge and religious character. Both of these important components in a multicultural society are believed to strengthen the harmony in order to create public space civility.
