Abstract
"Prüfungen mit dem AA1000AS bieten eine Plattform um nichtfinanzielle Aspekte der Nachhaltigkeit mit der Finanzberichterstattung und -prüfung zu vereinen. Der Standard bietet Nachhaltigkeitsprüfern ein Werkzeug, das über die alleinige Verifizierung von Daten hinausgeht, indem er eine Beurteilung von der Art und Weise erlaubt, wie eine berichtende Organisation Nachhaltigkeitsthemen managt, sowie dieses Management und die resultierende Performance in einer Bescheinigung zu reflektieren. Der AA1000AS (2008) bietet eine umfassende Methode, um eine Organisation für deren Management, Performance und Berichterstattung über Nachhaltigkeitsthemen verantwortlich zu halten, indem die Einhaltung der AA1000 AccountAbility Prinzipien und die Qualität von veröffentlichten Angaben über die Nachhaltigkeits-Performance beurteilt werden. Prüfungen mit dem AA1000AS (2008) bieten zudem die Möglichkeit, eine weite Spanne anderer Verifizierungs- und Zertifizierungsschemata, die sich mit spezifizierten Nachhaltigkeitsdimensionen auseinandersetzen, einzubinden und in den Kontext zu stellen. Hierzu zählen beispielsweise Schemata für Treibhausgasemissionen, für Umwelt-Management-Systeme, für nachhaltige Waldwirtschaft oder für Kennzeichnungen Fairen Handels." AA1000AS (2008) assurance also provides a means to capture and place in context a wide range of other veri cation and certi cation schemes that deal with specific dimensions of sustainability such as those for greenhouse gas emissions, environmental management systems, sustainable forest management or fair trade labeling."]
