Abstract
"Este ensaio divide-se em três partes. Em primeiro lugar, reconstituo os principais argumentos de Hannah Arendt, em Sobre a Revolução, a respeito do que ela denomina o “problema do absoluto” na fundação de novas comunidades políticas; sobretudo o modo como a questão aparece na Revolução Americana. Em seguida, apresento a interpretação de Bonnie Honig, que busca contrapor e conciliar as leituras de Arendt e Jacques Derrida sobre a Declaração de Independência dos Estados Unidos. Por fim, sugiro que o problema da fundação e permanência das comunidades, embora apresente-se de modo distinto, pode ser lido à luz das investigações de Giorgio Agamben sobre o juramento como princípio político" [" This test is divided into three parts. First, reconstituted the main arguments of Hannah Arendt in On Revolution, about what she calls the "absolute problem" in the new political communities foundation; especially how the question appears in the American Revolution. Then I present the interpretation of Bonnie Honig, which seeks to counteract and reconcile the readings of Arendt and Jacques Derrida on the US Declaration of Independence. Finally, I suggest that the problem of foundation and permanence of communities, although it presents itself differently, can be read in the light of Giorgio Agamben's investigations of the oath as a political principle"]
