Abstract
The central theme of this investigation is rationality, and it seeks to illustrate the significant differences between instrumental and substantive trends. Stakeholder Theory was used as the main theoretical basis, given the potential association of its normative aspect with the substantive rationality and of the instrumental aspect with the rationality that goes under the same name. A case study was carried out to understand how these two rationalities coexist within a venture capital company (COMPANY) focused on sustainable business.
