Abstract
"El problema del carácter sacrificial de la eucaristía no se encuentra actualmente en el primer plano del diálogo teológico interconfesional; perteneció, en cambio, al número de aquellas divergencias más importantes que, en el siglo de la Reforma, marcaron su impronta en la división de la Iglesia comunicándole su hondura espiritual y teológica. Es en este punto donde adquiere toda su concreción y toda su fuerza el problema de la justificación, en el que Lutero, basándose en su experiencia inédita, centraba la esencia de la fe cristiana mientras se veía forzado a considerar la forma católica de la fe como una desviación de su verdadero centro. Mientras el debate se mantenga en el plano de la discusión en tomo a la fe y las obras, el sentido de la cuestión resulta difícilmente comprensible para el cristiano ordinario, que tiene que vivir de la fe de todos modos, es decir, que sólo puede realizar en la fe la llamada de Dios, y que además tiene que realizada en la misma fe" ["The problem of the sacrificial character of the Eucharist is not currently at the forefront of interfaith theological dialogue; belonged, however, the number of those major divergences in the century of the Reformation, marked his mark on the division of the Church communicating their spiritual and theological depth.
