Abstract
道德责任意识，即主体的人对与自身特定的角色和权能相联系的自己在道德上 的“份内应做之事”或“应当为没有做到份内应做之事所担当的道德过失”的自觉体认，它应当而 且必须包含两方面的内容：其一是对自身所应担当的道德责任 “是什么？”的明确认知和判断， 其二是对自身道德责任之“为什么？”的深刻体认。加强道德责任意识建设，以道德责任意识的 自觉来促成道德行为的自律，是当今中国公民权责关系状况、社会道德生活境况、道德推理方 式特点和公民道德责任意识现状条件下为更加富有成效地搞好公民道德建设所必须高度重视并 着力解决好的一项突出任务。 [The moral subject’s Consciousness of moral responsibility means the conscious awareness of the moral tasks that, correlated with the role , the power and the right of the subject, the subject shall fulfill and of the moral fault the subject must burden with for having not fulfilled those tasks. Such a consciousness shall and is bound to consist of two parts: one is the clear and definite knowing and judgment of the moral tasks the subject shall fulfill, the other is the rational justification of these tasks for the subject himself(or herself). The increasingly free and democratic state of the relation between the right/the power and the responsibility of Chinese citizens, the social situation of moral life that Chinese citizens have today, the characteristics of the mode of moral reasoning caused by that situation ,and the moral imperative that possesses the most universal validity for Chinese citizens today, all these decided together that we must give prominence to the construction of the consciousness of moral responsibility if we hope to improve effectively the construction of civic morality in China today. ]
