Abstract
"En este artículo se analiza la lectura de la democracia ateniense realizada por Foucault: en concreto, el comentario de la obra Ión de Eurípides. Posteriormente se discuten las conclusiones del autor mediante la presentación de otras posibilidades de lectura. La argumentación se centra en dos puntos: en primer lugar la relación entre constitución del cuerpo político y legitimidad y, en segundo lugar, la relación entre derechos formales a la participación política y participación efectiva. El artículo resalta el interés de la perspectiva del filósofo francés fundada en la diferencia entre capacidad para hablar y posibilidad de hacerlo con franqueza" ["This article analyzes the reading of Athenian democracy by Foucault: specifically, the commentary of the work Ion of Euripides. Later we discuss the author’s conclusions by presenting other possible readings. The argument focuses on two points: first, the relationship between the constitution of the citinzehsip and legitimacy and, secondly, the relationship between formal rights to political participation and effective participation. The article highlights the interest of the French philosopher’s perspective based on the difference between speaking ability and opportunity to do so openly"]
