"Com a publicação da presente edição, a Revista Brasileira de Bioética completa os quatro números que compõem seu primeiro volume, referente ao ano 2005. Além do esforço da Sociedade Brasileira de Bioética, da participação dos membros do Conselho Editorial e do interesse dos pesquisadores que confiaram seus trabalhos à revista, não podemos deixar de registrar o apoio decisivo proporcionado pela Secretaria de Ciência, Tecnologia e Insumos Estratégicos do Ministério da Saúde, que confiou no desafio que significava a criação de uma revista deste tipo no país" ["With the publication of this edition, the Brazilian Journal of Bioethics complete the four numbers that make up his first volume, for the year 2005.
