Abstract
This paper discusses the perspective of Islamic law and Indonesian law on mixed marriages in Indonesia between the Indonesians and foreigners and between Muslims and non-Muslim. The author argues that mixed marriages is permitted as long as the couple in the same religion. Meanwhile, the marriage inter-religion especially Muslim and non-Muslim, in some countries, is permitted especially between Muslim and Ahli kitab. In Indonesian context, some Islamic organization i.e., MUI, NU and Muhammadiyah are not permitted this marriage.
