Perception, interest and knowledge of physiotherapy faculty regarding professional ethics

Abstract
"This study aimed to evaluate aspects relatig to interest, perceptin and knowledge levels regarding ethics in physiotherapy among lecturers of this course at a university in the Brazilian Amazon region. Eighteen lec- turers partiipated and responded to 21 questins divided in sectins related to “interest”, “perceptin” and “knowledge levels”. The data was considered in terms of absolute and relatie frequency. In the “interest” sectin, 77.77% (n = 14) indicated internet as a primary source of updates regarding the issue of ethics in phy- siotherapy. In the “perceptin” sectin, 94.44% (n = 17) considered the ethical behavior of students in their evaluatins. Regarding “knowledge levels”, 83.33% (n = 15) erred to say that treatment prescriptin can only be established aftr an appointment. Therefore, it is necessary to enhance knowledge and stiulate ethical consideratins of lecturers regarding their ethical behavior for their own growth and the training of students."
