Abstract
One of the lessons the Life & Peace Institute (LPI) has learnt in its more than 25 years of work in conflict transformation is that there is a widening gap between theory and practice. As an organisation that employs a participatory approach, combining research and action, it delves into both realms. Therefore, it also faces this gap more often than the academics ensconced in their literary niches and the practitioners working in the field.
