"La historiografía cronista idealiza el pasado para mostrar cómo debe ser la vida en el momento presente. El autor retoma la realeza teocrática de la casa de David con el objetivo de recordar a sus contemporáneos cómo debe ser la celebración del culto, la centralidad y la importancia del templo de Jerusalén, de los levitas, de la obediencia a la ley de Dios y ofrece esperanza en la retribución." "The raison d’être of historiography of the book of Chronicles is to idealize the past, in order to show to live in the present. Through the writing, the author retrieves the theocratic splendor of the Davidic house, to remind his/her contemporaries of the proper way to celebrate the religious cult, the importance and the central roles played by the temple and the Levites, of the obedience to God’s Law and of the retributional hope."
