Abstract
"Opinion "Gifts to Physicians from Industry" is intended to provide ethical guidance to physicians. Other parties involved in the health care sector, including the pharmaceutical, devices and medical equipment industries and related entities or business partners, should view the guidelines as indicative of standards of conduct for the medical profession. Ultimately, it is the responsibility of individual physicians to minimize conflicts of interest that may be at odds with the best interest of patients and to access the necessary information to inform medical recommendations."
