Abstract
This paper discusses the perception of the young generation to the folk songs in Bolaang Mongondow. The young generation is a conservationist and successor cultures that exist today. The influence of western culture may change their perception to their own cultures. Thus, this research is needed to give them a light to love their own culture. This research used the concepts of socio-psychology to make it clear. The technique of collecting data in this research included questionnaire, observation, and interview. The findings of this research is that most young generation in Bolaang Mongondow still like the folk songs.
