Abstract
In this modern era, oral tradition is interesting for writers latterly, especially the writer who was focused on oral tradition. Indonesia has many kinds of folklore and literature containing purposes. An example of oral tradition which was not yet interest to researcher is oral tradition which aims to give a massage about rites, form, and popular oral. Thus, by using qualitative research, this article will discuss about oral tradition from Gorontalo that gives meaning in daily life of Gorontalo people. Another purpose of this article is to make young generation understand and know oral tradition which has been a part of society to build the character of society.
