Abstract
"Examino neste artigo um aspecto do que Hannah Arendt chamava de questão social: a relação entre política, pobreza e miséria. Meu propósito consiste em indicar que as dificuldades com a questão social na obra de Arendt se revelam possivelmente mais agudas quando focamos especificamente este tema. Por outro lado, é também um objetivo indicar o quanto em sua própria obra é possível pensar o sentido político da pobreza a partir da constatação de que a libertação é um pressuposto para a liberdade. Por fim, subjaz a essas considerações a relação fundamental entre capitalismo e política" ["I examine in this article one aspect of what Hannah Arendt called the social issue: the relationship between politics, poverty and misery. My purpose is to indicate that the difficulties with social issues in the work of Arendt reveal possibly more acute when we focus specifically this issue. On the other hand, it is also a goal to indicate how much of his own work is possible to think the political meaning of poverty from the fact that the release is a precondition for freedom. Finally, behind these considerations the fundamental relationship between capitalism and politics"]
