"Para los católicos es posible –y aun necesaria– una ética universal. Baste con aludir aquí a la arraigada doctrina de la ley natural, considerada, en cierto sentido, como previa a la ley de Cristo y accesible, como principio, a todos los hombres, cristianos o no" ["For Catholics it is possible-even necessarily a universal ethic. Suffice to refer here to the established doctrine of natural law, considered in some sense, as a precondition to the law of Christ and accessible, in principle, to all men, Christian or not"]
