"Es un privilegio como pastor y profesor de teología en una Escuela Luterana participar de un encuentro como éste. Estoy agradecido con el Dios de la Vida por este regalo y por la oportunidad de compartir con ustedes, mis hermanos y hermanas en la misma y única fe, algo de los sucesos en nuestra Iglesia Evangélica de Confesión Luterana en Brasil (IECLB) respecto de un movimiento con características carismático-pentecostales que nos ayudó, al fin y al cabo, a percibir que no podemos ser iglesia sin apertura a los diversos dones del Espíritu y a las experiencias de renovación que estos dones pueden proporcionar a la vida de las personas de fe y a las comunidades, muchas veces demasiado fijas en su tradición y necesidades religiosas" ["It is a privilege as a pastor and professor of theology at a School Lutheran participate in a meeting like this.
